Tips on Using Movie Maker

  • Create a folder for the project you will be working on. Place all files you will need in that folder (e.g., images, PowerPoint slides, music, etc.).

  • Remember that there are two files you create in Movie Maker – a mswmm (Microsoft Windows Movie Maker) file and a wmv (Windows Media Video) file.
    • The mswmm file is editable.
    • The wmv is the final version which cannot be edited, only viewed.
